Fall, 2024 Japanese Language Class Adult Intermediate, Level IX
Ages: 16 ~ Adults
Dates: Wednesday evenings, Sept 11 ~ Dec 4, 2024
(12 classes; no class Thanksgiving week)
Time: 7:15 ~ 8:15 pm
Class Content: This course is a continuation of the Level VIII class offered in Spring 2024 and will be informative and very interactive. We’ll start with the Practice section of Les. 16 in the Genki II text, before moving on to Lesson 17; thus, a review of the Grammar section is highly encouraged prior to the start of classes. Students should feel comfortable with Hiragana, Katakana, and some basic kanji; a moderate number of kanji will be introduced. Additionally, we will continue to advance sentence and question structures that lead to holding intermediate level conversations. Of course, cultural aspects of the Japanese will also be introduced to facilitate learning the language.
Location: Classes will be offered via Zoom, as this facilitates those who would otherwise have to travel to a school location, go on business trips, have after school activities, get stuck in traffic, have to be at home, etc. The instructor will send out the Zoom link a few minutes before each class.
